On June 13, 2026, the Media Council for Self-Regulation received a complaint from Mr. Miloš Janković about the text published on the "Novosti" portal, with the request that the Council needs to react publicly. The complainant stated that he had previously addressed the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services (AMU), but that there was no reaction.
MSS Executive Secretary, Ranko Vujović, informed the complainant that the Council does not have jurisdiction over media from Serbia, and instructed him to appeal to the competent authority in that country - the Press Council. For the same reason, as explained, there was no reaction from AMU, because that agency is not responsible for portals registered in Serbia either.
