The conference “The Trust Gap: Pathways to Quality Journalism in Southeast Europe and Türkiye in the Digital Age” was held in Brussels on 2-3 December. Representing the Media Council for Self-Regulation, Executive Secretary Ranko Vujović attended the event.

Just a few months after labeling the respected journalist and writer Milorad Popović as being under the influence of a criminal organization, Prosecutor Šoškić has once again directly targeted Pobjeda and journalist Draško Đuranović.
At today’s annual Assembly of the Media Council for Self-Regulation, several issues regarding the work and activities of this body were discussed. The focus was on applications for new membership. After a detailed review of all submitted requests, the Assembly of this media organization decided to grant full membership to 32 media outlets.

The project aims to strengthen public trust in media and support quality journalism that serves the public interest.
The Board of the Media Self-Regulation Council held its second meeting of the year on June 28. A wide range of topics concerning the ongoing work of the organization were discussed.
